After running three successful Spring Camps in 2017, 2018 and 2019 The No More Silence Spring Art Camp returns with a camp for ages 4-12 year old. This five day event will be held at The No More Silence Foundation located at 3865 Winchester Rd Suite 6 Mem

After running three successful Spring Camps in 2017, 2018 and 2019 The No More Silence Spring Art Camp returns with a camp for ages 4-12 year old. This five day event will be held at The No More Silence Foundation located at 3865 Winchester Rd Suite 6 Memphis, TN 38118.  We will have a team of  professional volunteers who are actively involved in the community working hard to build better leaders in our city. We value diversity and believe that young people should enjoy being young while learning skills that they could take into their adulthood.

We encourage parents to sign up NOW and not wait til the last minute struggling to find a fun, educational, none competitive, and safe atmosphere for their children while they work. 5 camp scholarships will be granted to the first five parents to register their child by Friday, February 28, 2020.

About No More Silence Foundation:

No More Silence Foundation was founded with the intent to provide coping mechanisms through the arts using educational strategies to help with healing from sexual abuse trauma in multipurpose ways.  We use a variety of art related programs aimed at targeting prevention of Child Sexual Abuse.  The programs we offer help to assist victims and none victims in gaining self-esteem, better literacy, rebuilding families, and understanding the steps in preventing sexual violence.

 

Recent No More Silence Event: 4th Annual Holiday Tea Party

2020 SPRING ART CAMP FOR AGES 4-12

When: March 16th -20th

Applications are now open for our 2020 Spring Art Camp. While the students are out for Spring Break, the No More Silence is providing a positive, fun, safe, and non-competitive environment where 20 campers, aged 4-12, will get to express themselves through unique therapeutic art sessions that are combined with music, fine arts and DIY crafts, dance, basic coding, basic hair styling, basic cooking, journaling, and dramatic play.

  •  20 Campers
  • 5 days while out on Spring Break


 TCW:

  • Learn a combination of music
  • What music composers are and their history.
  • The basics of drawing and creating self expressions through art.
  • Different styles of dance
  • The history of dance movements
  • The introduction of basic coding
  • How basic coding works
  • Different hair styles and history
  • Basic braiding techniques
  • How to prepare a nutritious meal without heat
  • How there in no right or wrong way to journaling
  • The basic steps to self journaling
  • What is dramatic play,
  • How to bring book characters alive through dramatic play
